Alexander has worked in a variety of roles in the private security industry over the past eighteen years. Beginning as a Royal Marine he spent eight years in service completing tours and assignments in Iraq, Sierra Leone and Northern Ireland. Promoted to Section Corporal he led a specialist close protection unit which provided armed protection to senior military personnel and civilians during deployment. Following his time in service, Alexander joined an operational team as a key member of a private security escort detail assigned to the Commanding General of the US Corps of Engineers in support of the reconstruction of Iraq. Responsibilities there included the planning and execution of the safe movement of clients in challenging and hostile environments including preliminary reconnaissance and assessment of unsecured sites and routes.

Having developed a network of contacts through close protection assignments, Alexander set up and is Managing Director of Protectus Security Solutions Limited. In operation since 2011, Protectus is an international protection and security agency dealing with the security requirements of high profile and high net worth clientele in a variety of settings for personal and work-related travel and events. Alexander has diversified services to include working with and training to VIP clientele, businesses, merchant vessels and superyachts.

Day to day, Alexander is responsible for the performance of the company and delivering the overall strategy including implementing company policy, developing strategic plans, maintaining a dialogue between the senior management team and controlling finance. He has built and maintained an effective support team and maintains an in-depth knowledge of markets and changing business environments.
