He began his career serving in the Royal Marines before leading many security consultancy projects in Afghanistan working to protect officials for the US State Department. He then progressed in maritime security operations as a team leader ensuring the safe passage of commercial vessels. In his extensive experience as a close protection officer, Mike has completed numerous assignments advising a diverse clientele including foreign royalty and international celebrities attending functions, premiers and public relations events. He has managed security arrangements for professional sports teams, including the British and Irish Lions during their 2013 tour of Australia and acted as the security adviser during the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

Mike has over twelve years’ experience in security project management, security team leadership, and executive close protection across hostile and non-hostile environments. He combines exceptional threat identification and analytic abilities to coordinate all aspects of security; formulating robust strategic and tactical risk mitigation plans, and managing their execution with skill and precision.

Mike possesses strong interpersonal and communication abilities, building rapid rapport with clients and stakeholders across all levels. He values close teamwork in ensuring successful security outcomes. Mike is also medically trained to the highest industry standard including paediatric care having worked with families with young children.
