Protectus is a proud supporter of Balloons Charity – Bereavement and Loss – Looking Onwards’. Founded in 2007 by health care professionals, Balloons provides support for children, young people and their families prepare before an expected death, and following the death of someone significant in their lives.
The charity offers the widest range of practical, emotional and social support to children, young people and their families. They provide guidance, support and an opportunity to meet with others in a similar situation. The trained grief support workers at Balloons provide face-to-face support for children and young people within the home or in school, and offer the choice for sibling groups to work through their grief together. They provide support to the person caring for the child and run activity days and family events throughout the year.
Protectus pledged to match the amount raised through a sponsored event, which funded a special excursion for the children. It is a local charity close to our hearts and we will continue to support them and the inspiring work they do for families and children suffering from bereavement.
